Gasoline, ethanol, dynamite - it has everything needed for a healthy man's enjoyment...

Serious, this is from the makers of Euro Truck Simulator. It seems to me by the looks of the truck's breaking and behaving that they have improved the physics.

Wow, the grfx on that sim are unbelievable.

SCS are doing some awesome stuff, they also have a Scandinavian DLC and a Coach Simulator in the works.

Here's some interviews and footage:

Do they have a Texan driving in snow mode?
:haha:
I went through Dallas once when there was ice on the road.
It was like a crash cart thing from an amusement park.
:o

And here I was thinking the last thing a guy who drives a truck ten hours per day would want to do in his off hours is to pretend to drive a truck. :dead:

I have to agree, though: The scenery is amazingly realistic. :sunny:

When a guy is told to take a break, he is still allowed to dream, eh? :D

Plenty of screenshots of US and Euro trucks and XXL-trailers,:

Add self-propelled artillery to the cool stuff to be played with... :haha: I just wait for a 50s-style trailer with some boxes of nitroglycerine...

CCIP 02-01-15 07:00 PM

They're making an American expansion? Sign me up! :D

Skybird 02-01-15 07:05 PM

No, it is a new independent game, though copying the general design of the Euro title.

There are mods for US trucks in the Euro truck game, however.

I learned so far that parking a trailer in a tight slot and in reverse is a.) counter-intuitive, and b.) difficult because of a.). Took me some time to understand what was going on why. :haha:

I briefly joined another forum dedicated to truck sims when ETS 2 came out. It certainly wasn't as populated as Subsim.com but probably about 70% were either drivers or within the industry. Great for getting gen on the trucks.

This is what the reefer will do to you.:O::haha:

Its a funny feeling, to now virtually drive in so many places that in the years before I virtually flew over so many times, and landed at and took off from so often. :)

I am currently addicted to world exploration in this game, it has so many different details to offer, and so many sweet little surprises. Why has nobody told me before? I take that personal! What they told me is "Uh, no hardcore simulation physics, so not for you, Sky." On the other hand I missed two years of bug squashing, 16 patches, and many minor niggles between them, it seems. I have not had a single problem with this game far! None.

A very good miniature railroad world. The buying of Scandinavia DLC is a decided thing, and the American truck title I will also get. But the latter maybe again a bit later.

Now do it with doubles!:D If there's a descent/ascent scenario of the Donner Pass, I can relive my childhood!:har:

Such a show-off! :D
