Default How do you save a UPC file?

I did a search but couldn't find an answer so I'm asking.
If I edit a UPC file it saves back as a Text (TXT), is there a program or trick to saving?

Google Notepad++ , download it and always use it for similar game files tweaks. This is much more secure way than editing with simple win notepad...

I downloaded Notepad Plus but when I come to save I don't see a UPC extension to save as.

I use NoteTab Plus but the concept is the same; I have edited in Notepad too.

In Notepad, if clicking the Fle >> Save line changes your upc file it to txt when you Save, select the 'Save As', option and look at the bottom of the destination Window that opens and it will offer: *.txt, Filename.txt, Filename.upc, or even Filename.upc.txt. Change the File Type by clicking the "Text Document" button and select the "All Files (*.*)" line and save it as a "upc" file, -- so, type in upc: "Filename.upc."

Strange because the upc file should have opened as a upc file and it should have saved as one when you Saved unless you wrote it from scratch.

Unless I don't understand the problem you are having.... : )
