Default Which Mega mod

Hey,
Probably a somewhat lazy topic but I'm trying to decide what set of mods I should be using since I'm obviously not going to be running through SH5 vanilla. THe first one I tried was MMM and it seemed good, next one I looked at was Sober's latest one because apparently MMM hasn't been updated in more than a while and I was getting some CTDs with . Anyway, I removed Real Navigation because while I like subs I am sort of fond of being able to see my sub on the map, it makes plotting courses possible.

This isn't my first Silent Hunter game but it's the first one I've modded and the first one I've tried to actually get into so I'm by no means an expert and I'm basically just asking for advice I guess. Should I try to gently ease myself into the more difficult realism options and tweak Sober's, stick with MMM or is there another one someone could recommend.

Wow... two years. This explains why I whisper all the time and I once punched someone for dropping a wrench I kid of course but yeah, I must have made an account here... I think it was for Dangerous Waters honestly. That was my first Sub Sim, followed by Silent Hunter 3 but I unfortunately never really got into it, something I plan on rectifying since it's on sale on Steam and Uplay. Out of curiosity do the SH3/4 exes have problems when they're from steam?
