Hi There!
Just the obligatory quick intro.
 Just recently got back into sub sims and am looking forward to it. I picked up a copy of SH III (since that is supposed to be the best according to many) and am just now getting ready to play. Too many mods to add though, I may be several weeks away from doing anything but downloading mods! I plan to add SH 4 & 5, along with Jane's SSN 688i at some point in the future. Things have changed quite a bit since the last time I seriously played a sub sim. Going to date myself here, but I did Gate and Silent Service on an Apple IIE back in the day..... They were fun, but are nowhere near what is available today. Looking forward to jumping in with both feet and getting advice from all of you pros out there. The Silent Hunter franchise appears to be a huge universe and I am going to excitedly explore as much as I can. Other not so interesting stuff about me. Live in Virginia and work for the Navy (surface ships, not subs!) as a civilian engineer. Currently on loan to the USMC for a few weeks on a special project. Have the standard issue lifestyle of wife, kids, dogs, and a mortgage. Thanks! Hookdown |
