Cry of Fear. Free Game on Steam

I found this while browsing the Steam store. It's advertised as a horror game so I checked it out.

Nothing scares me, ya know?

Well, I jumped once. Didn't actually scare me but it caught me unaware.

It's an interesting little game. Looks to be based on an old Half Life engine. It still succeeds in providing suspense. I only played a little of the beginning since it's so late and I should be heading to bed....but for those of you out there looking for a little something new to try out....

Cry of Fear on Steam

I remember playing Resident Evil on PS (the original, not even a PSone!) on a nightshift whilst two colleagues were napping. In one part you walk down a corridor (spoiler alert?) and a murder of crows burst through the windows along one side. I nearly pooped.

They woke up wondering what the noise was about and they they replayed that bit but I didn't tell them.

They both nearly pooped too.

I don't get scared, but things do catch me unaware and make me jump.

Glad it's not just me and my ex-colleagues then.

I think it's pretty much a whole generation of gamers who 'nearly' (nifty word to save the day huh?) pooped their pants because of this part!
