Default No luck...

Hi,

Decided to stick with TMO 1.9 without any environmental mod because it's the only mod wich gives me a pretty nice sea rendering without this damn fog issue...and just added SCAF + Max Optics for 1.9.
Everything is fine so far, until first mission where i hitted 2 heavy cruiser with my very first 4 torpedos.
- First one sinked after more than 1 hour, got the sinked icon on map, but nothing counted! even on captain's log.
- Second one kept on going almost half body underwater! ...and never sunk...

How the hell can a boat still navigate like that??:

Don't think it's very realistic...
Could it be a game corruption by my many mods trying lately?
Shall i reinstall clean SH4 to avoid those problems? (well for first one, cause second one is probably due to game limitation)

German battlecruiser Seydlitz after the battle of Jutland, 1916. No, the bow is not underwater, but the ship took on almost 5000 tons of water and still made it home.

And the damage.

With good compartmentation and good damage control the bow or stern of a warship could be isolated and the ship kept afloat. More than one ship had the bow completely torn off in a storm and still survived.

In November 1940 the destroyer HMS Javelin had both her bow and stern blown off. The wreck was kept afloat and towed home. A year later she was back in action.

Yeah, for once!

But in the doubt, made a clean install and started a new career (once again!) with only TMO 1.9 and its patch, plus SCAF for 1.9 and Max Optics.
1.9 is really nice on my rig, only missing the 2.5 nice colored map

Oh my God, that is the most beautiful water I have ever seen

My new PC should be ready today, I'm definitely going to install SH4 and whatever mod that is!

Large warships are built to take a lot of punishment with multiple watertight compartments to contain flooding and stuff like that. The Yamato took at least eleven hits from torpedos and several bombs from USN aircraft before she went down. That was one tough ship
