Default first post

Hi all,

This is my first post and I thank Neal Stevens for giving me a chance to introduce myself to this Forum.
I’m from Holland and although being a new boy here I’m not quit unfamiliar with the world of gaming. For a long time now flightsimming has got my interest; IL2-Sturmovik 1946 and its successor Cliffs of Dover. I‘m fond of making missions with the mission builder. But now I will try to get also some experience with subsimming.
I have chosen SH5 for it seems a rather immersive game; you can walk through the submarine, there’s a dialogue possibility and also I like the theatres of action it displays. Not much caring for the Pacific it’s the Northern High Seas I’m looking for. Scouring the Baltic, Barends Seas, lurking for prey at the Western Approaches, the Broad Fourteens etc.
The moment I had installed Silent Hunter 5 from Steam and was carrying out dare devil feats to climb upon the ladder to the bridge it was obvious that there was much to learn and to ask. So far I did’nt see much of a manual or a kind of commandkeybord in the launcher. But I think working myself through the campaignmission (the hard way) will be for the moment the best way to learn something.

That’s all for now

With kind regards
