YOUR hardware shouldn't be the problem - only if something gets too hot. You should read out the temps, especially of your 570 GTX.

BSOD, I think, is often caused by a driver / .dll, I would suspect the soundcard/chip drivers.

After BSOD, there is often a file produced containing information about the crash. That could be helpful. It is called \blablabla\minidump
You can watch it with a program like that:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Can you reproduce the BSOD while playing SH3 Stock version?

Is your PSU strong enough?

If your pc is shutting down that could well be a temperature issue.

I installed an extra fan in my computer just to avoid this issue. Might be something to consider.

OK, no BSOD but black screen and strange sound. SH3 is a directX 9 based game. 1. Try to get the latest dx9 version and install that. It can't do any harm.

If that doesn't help, 2. it is a codec problem, which can be solved by installing a codec pack.

Try first solution No. 1

If you still get the same after getting the latest DX9, and sound chip drivers, try either updating your nVidia drivers, or if you're on the current release (not beta!) roll back maybe to the 297.xxx region and try again.

All these VGA cards today have their own soundchip onboard to deliver sound via HDMI, it could be a conflict with the mainboard soundchip / soundcard as well.

So if solution No. 1 and 2. don't help, that would be solution No.3 ( deactivate one of the two soundchips).

@kranklys74

danasan is onto something I think, stuttering sound leading to lockup is usually soundcard/chip related, however, I've not heard of this giving wierd screen colours/glitches. This part sounds more related to GPU drivers. As Herr-Berbunch suggests roll your GPU drivers back to 266.58. They are old but SH3 runs rock solid under them. Good luck.

Best regards.

As soon as resources like IRQ are shared by accident, well
