At monday i'm going to buy a new rig for it like:
AMD Phenom II X4 925 Scythe Katana 3 SCKTN-3000 2*2GB Samsung DDR3 1333mhz MSI 770 AM3 Chieftec 600C 600W Gigabyte/MSI/EVGA GTX460 1024 and then overclock it. i think it will be enough to handle the game at 1680*1050 what do you think? just interesting link where you can check sys specs for sh5: http://www.game-debate.com/games/ind...t%20Hunter%205 |

search newegg.com for your parts. You should be able to get better parts for the same price you're going to pay for the above. I'd go with the AMD Phenom II X4 955 or 965. I use the 965 and have it OC'd to 3.9 on air. Love it. Get the best video card you can afford - I have the EVGA GTX480 and it's a dream. Runs this game with all settings on max with no problems (I have 30" Samsung LCD running @ 2560 x 1600)

I run the game with 1X 5870 and 1920x1080 on a 24inch monitor . I get 70fps outside and over 100 inside . That is with the game settings on full except shadows on half . In catalyst i have AA 4X and AF 16X.

In my opinion Nvidia is better for EVERYTHING. They have better drivers, more supported games, and they are cheaper. I found that ATI has been slipping latley, and I never used to like Nvidia but now it is all I would ever buy and I don't ever plan on buying ATI again.
This isn't a biased opinion either, in fact I never had any problems in the past with ATI cards until the 5*** series came out, it was the old Nvidia cards that gave me trouble. The new Nvidia cards also support 3D vission surround, which destroys ATI's eyefinity both in terms of quality and supported games. Now these are my opinions and I expect others to have entirly different views, which I would like to hear.

![]() Anyway, I haven't heard anything about that card, but the 5970's (especially the way over sized/priced models) have had some problems

I haven't bought SH5 yet and want to know if my pc can handle it at max or almost max graphics.
9800GTX (1gig) Nvidia card C2Duo 2.7 Ghz CPU 3 gigs of RAM (WIndows XP 32bit) I can max out SH4 with these specs no problem. Is SH5 going to be a problem for me? |

it has been my experience that ATI cards are best if not newly released.
ATI takes forever to come up with proper working drivers so as long as you stick with last years ATI model you never have issues with them (well almost never since no brand is ever perfect) as for required specs my rule of thumb is double the recommended ram and video specs and you have no worries about getting the most from your games, the cpu specs are usually spot on but they always under estimate the ram and video needs. |
