The Perfect Shandy

So we have this dinner thing going tonight and I want to amuse our guests with my limited mixology foo (Oh yes, they will laugh ). From what I've read a shandy is half-and-half beer and cider. I wonder if anyone here knows of any special recipes, certain mix proportions, etc...

...or we could just spam the thread with more beer talk (That's basically the point anyway).
