radio reports... any answers welcome!

Evening all! I recently re installed SH3 with GWX... O how I have missed it! One question which I have never asked (or tried to any great detail imo) is the report contact feature. Has anyone ever experienced anything interesting happen (ie ai subs or aircraft coming to your assistance) or is it worthless. Need a response to see whether it is worth still clicking it as it takes up vital milliseconds that could be used for hunting
