Default No waves for 3 weeks??

Hello all, I am on my 2nd patrol for 1st flotilla, it is now mid October 1941. I left port on the 30th of September. It has been about 3 weeks that I have been at sea and havnt had any waves the entire time, completely flat seas. Is this normal? I have never seen the seas this calm for so long before.

I am using GWX 3.0 with Commander 3.2. I do have Set Wave Height enabled at Seasonal.

Not exactly sure what's causing this, but I'd wager some scientist will invent a way to blame it on global warming...

I have mine set at seasonal too. Go 24hrs at 512 or 1024 TC and those seas won't be flat. I guarantee it.

I also use Sh3Weather. A Standalone Mod that works with GWX and Commander.

I can set it for month I'm leaving port and, let it Randomise weather.

Or do manual and set my own weather parameters.

The weather in SH3 changes using an internal 'dice roll' method. Every so often (24 or 72 hours, depending on who you ask) the weather will change. The problem is that there are only three settings: Better, Same and Worse. This means that if it's somewhere in the middle it has a 1-in-3 chance of getting better, getting worse or not changing. If it is already at its best or worst then it only has a 33% chance of changing, but a 66% chance of staying the same. If it's as good as it can get and it says get better then it can't get any better so it doesn't change. They took the easy way out and we pay for it. I've been sitting in a storm for six days now, and no sign of improvement.

GWX uses a version of the Weather Fix mod, which as I understand it makes the 'dice roll' happen more often. Some claim it works and some don't.

SH3 Weather is a wonderful mod for starting a mission, but it only affects the starting weather, so you can have less-than-perfect on the day you set sail. It has no effect on the weather changes in the game after that, and by some reports it breaks the Weather Fix function in GWX.

That would be an inconvenient truth...
