And then she grins and high-fives her equally evil friend. Some people deserve to be kicked a few times.

I know I am inmature, but I laughed when I first saw it...

A bonus is that this was shown on TV and the woman now has the reputation of being an evil-hearted broad who steals from children - I can laugh about sweet revenge like that, too

That's great! Especially dad's reaction, which was to laugh about it and give the kid a hug.

Dictators do that all the time even to a much worse extent, no big deal. Only that hers was caught on film and aired on tv.

Now is the age of lying, stealing, cheating and murder. These things are now commonplace and should now be tolerable. Besides I heard might makes it right. She certainly more powerful than the little kid. I've also heard that right or wrong is relative and the world is unfair so better live to accept it.

. . . . . .

It's one fuc*ked up world and she's part of it. It's not merely about stealing a baseball. It's the non existence of good judgment and a good heart. She had no shame. She is a TRASH in flesh and blood. . . . .like all dictators. Trash needs to go to the trash bin lest it litters the world and pollutes it.

The action holds more resemblance than most people would think. But most people do not know what dictators are like so they assume they are somehow grand.

But no grand person would become one as much as no great person would steal a baseball from a child's hand. There is nothing grand or great in any dictator. In fact they are one because they are often a much worse person able to go lower than his adversaries.

I've never claimed to know a dictator, nor do I assume to know anything about them personally besides what facts I read about them in history books.

Now what was this thread about? Oh right a girl stealing a baseball...

The world has always been that way. They seem more commonplace because we also have more people with more freedom and better educations. But make no mistake, there have always been people like this.

As to your very next comment, do I really have to link to the forum rules again so soon? I guess I do.

This. People always tend to think they live in some special age, that things are going downhill rapidly, and that the end may be near (figuratively speaking that is).
There's nothing special about the age we live in. People aren't doing more robbing, stealing or lying then they have the past couple of centuries. We just hear more about it. Please quit the drama, we're nothing special.
There's good, there's bad, and there's a hell of a lot in between.

Here's some more feelgood medicine against the gloomy attitude:

Wow, thanks for that one, Bakkels. It always brings me back to earth when I see a dog react to 'his' human. Race, color, religion, philosophy - none of that matters to a dog. He loves his people and does his best to care for them and protect them, period.
