Default Has anyone played SH3 (GWX) on a netbook?

Hi all!

Im gonna visit my girlfriend soon, and she only has one of those netbooks.
The relevant specs are:

Intel Atom 1.6Ghz
2 GB RAM
160GB HDD
Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics <---- thats probably the bottleneck

So has anyone got any experience with running SH3 on netbooks with similar specs.

after having seen an old x1950 256Mb running smoothly at 1680x1050 (AA4x, AF8x) and 1920x1200, I wouldn't be afraid of anything .... I'd fear more the OS

You're visiting your girlfriend and you're thinking about playing on the netbook? Shouldn't you be playing with something else during shore leave?

Same thought here. Sounds like you live apart most of the time and you wants to play SH when you do have time together. In my experience that is not a wise thing to do. Wanting to be a sub captain (or play whatever games) while being on the love boat makes the other half nervous about what your intentions are. It makes her think she'll get torpedo-ed in the end. But in the negative way.

when my gf was sleeping I used to play RE3 on her room lol

about the specs of the nootebook It will run, I have almost the same stuff except for Dual core @ 1.5 ghz and Intel mobile 965 graphics, I have the water reflections....but they are stuck in the left corner of my screen and I get 15-20 frames when attacking ships or just sailing, on harbor I get something like 5 frames...bad but playable

Hi,

1) I have a MacBook Pro 15" 2.53 Ghz + NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT.
2) I have a MacBook 13" (white one) with Intel GMA.

On (1) it runs smoothly with GWX 3.0.
On (2) you can run SH3, but without GWX 3.0 or LSH3 v4.

On both machines I use boot camp (from Apple) and run Windows XP Professional.

Default SH3 on netbook

I'm seriously interested in running SH3 on my netbook, but I have a problem. When I found out I can legally remove StarForce driver to make it compatible for Windows 7 I did so, but now I have have another error message. A window pops up saying, "Can not initialize 3D engine". Damn. Anyone have a solution?

Acer Aspire one computer netbook. I doubt there will be a performance problem, it always ran fine on my desktop with lower specs than the netbook. I'm currently switching everything over to my netbook, im running SH1 and SH2 on my netbook so far.
