Default Anti-aliasing and sun halo with MaGui Widescreen

I have a GeForce 9600GSO for graphics and ever since installing MaGui Widescreen (the widescreen resolution fix .dll files are the culprit i think) I get no sun halo. I've tried nearly every single flat sun fix I can find to no avail. The only way I can get it to come back is by bringing AA down to 4x in nVidia control panel. Anything higher than 4x yields a golfball sun and jaggies on the horizon (no difference in image quality from 4x to 16x).

I did try nHancer...no luck with that. Anyone else having this issue with MaGui Wide and same graphics card? I have the latest drivers from nVidia and am getting great framerates (90+), but maybe it's time to upgrade the video card? Or else maybe someone else has some good settings that work? Or know why the mod is doing this?

While on the subject of FSFs, what do these exactly change in the atlantic/arctic/med .dat files to get the sun back? Just interested in how it is supposed to work, because none of them do for me.

EDIT: oh yeah and i should probably mention i'm running MEPv2.1 (16km)

EDIT 2: .....and GWX3

Thanks guys.
