Default blue bars in the UZO and binocs?

Hello again boat-mates ( well they aren't SHIPS are they?). I have a gentle query. Have started SH5 again, and am trundling up the Kiel Kanal at present, on my way to kick, err, bums, in the North Sea, if I am lucky. To pass the time I am up on the tower watching for kamikaze boats, admiring the fluffy clouds, as they slowly drift and change ( wonderful), look at the passing buildings - you get the picture - but then I see two anomalies. One is that on a couple of occasions, as I turn to look behind, the clouds there are more like a big black dust storm on the horizon, and then they morph into normal clouds - I guess that is to do with my graphics card. The other though seems to be in the game. When I look through the UZO or the binoculars at some boats moored to the side ( but not all, just one or two), they have a blue and white bar above them. What is this please?

Slightly different tack. I have looked at the mods, lots of them, and will surely make use of a number, but there are so many, and I am not quite sure where to look to find the exact mods for my initial small wish-list, if indeed it is a mod I need, so I thought I would ask
I did want a clock, but now I see I have the time on the scrolling comments at the right hand corner, so that will do the job I spose.
I also would like to have German speaking voices, for the sake of realism, and expect there is an option for that, but seem to have missed it if so.
I would also like the water to be less black than it appears - unless that is simply because the day is somewhat overcast. Thank you, thank you, thank you, in advance.

The white bar is damage and the blue bar is flooding. Perhaps they are reversed, but I don't think so. skwas did a digital clock mod. German voices is er a reinstall I think maybe and selecting German as the language perhaps? The water - try W_Clear's environment thread for the screenshots and see if the water looks better.

ah, thank you Nisgeis - glad that is sorted.
I suppose I would have realised in time as the X-series space sim games from Egosoft have a similar information bar. I just would not expect to see them in a peaceful environment and on friendly ships that were moored - but that's fine, I shall not worry about them any more. Um, shame about the German voices requiring a re-install. I shall bear it in mind if I ever do need to do that, but I am not going to do it just for that reason.

Well, I can go to kip happy now - been a good day.Night-night all

oh forgot about the mod, thanks for that too, I will certainly go for that one next time I come on here.

TDW user interface includes a clock http://www.filefront.com/17134787/Ne...DarkWraith.7z/
To get german voices you have to click on custom install when installing the game and tick german voices .
Ail clouds are much better than stock http://www.ailantd.com/

Ship "health meters" can be turned off in the gameplay options if you like, but I suspect they are showing up on moored ships because the vessels have damaged themeslves by bumping into harbor structures or the bottom.

You can also add the clock to the interface with either a modded UI (as Sober linked) or with skwas' simple clock mod:

Good to have choices!

I'm not sure if this is stock, or the result of one of the many mods I use, but the stopwatch also indicates the time of day. Click "o" on the keyboard.

Also, there are working clocks throughout your boat. Although, not all of them are complete (some have the minute hand missing).

Happy hunting!

thanks all. I have the DarkWraith mod from earlier months, but not sure it is working - didn't it give us old style dials? Also I have an altered keyboard map mod, again, not sure it is working, so today I shall deactivate them and download fresh mods, with clocks, dials and clearer water as my first priorities. I am actually looking forward to having another play later, which is a great improvement on the frustration of earlier attempts.
