Default Green line on map display

Loving SH3!
When on the map screen, I see the grey & red lines due to sonar picking up ships, but what is the meaning of the green line?

Is it related to the ship I am locked onto?
Is it the angle my torpedoe would take on the locked ship if I fired?
Can't find any info on this.

Welcome aboard!

But the green line is a mystery to me, unless it refers to a neutral ship

The green line moves very similar to the grey and red lines that I beleive are sonar contact lines.

It's been so long since I played a stock game that I'm not 100% sure about this.
But IIRC, the green lines are radar emissions from enemy radar.
Are you surfaced or submerged when the green line appears?

EDIT: Just had another thought. Does the green line appear on your Nav map, or your Attack map?
If it's on the Attack map, then yes, it shows your projected torpedo solution.

If it's on the map screen then it denotes neutrals but if it's on the attack map it is your projected torpedo solution.
