Hoping some one can help with PC HDMI issue

I really hope some one can help me I have looked all over the web and found nothing.

I have a Mitsubishi 57733 HDTV 57'' 1080P For almost a year and a half I have been able to connect my PC to my TV using a HDMI cable... I also use this same cable to connect to my Hannspree 22'' HF229 never had a problem

My Hanspree Monitor's resolution is 1680 x 1050 My HDTV is 1920 X 1080
My Graphics card in my PC is a GeForce GTS 250

Long story short I as playing NFS Shift on my PC with it connected to the 57'' HDTV (as I have done forever with no problems) I paused the game and left for a few minutes... when I came back I had a blue screen as though my PC was no longer connected. I can reconnect to my 22'' Hannspree just fine (again using the same HDMI cable) but no matter what I try I can't get the HDTV to work with it any more) my playstation and VCR as well as antenna all work just fine.

any help at all would be appreciated.

Might be a pin out problem do you have a spare cable you can swap out and try?

Bad news mate - if the cable and PC work on the other monitor - then the input on the big one has gone south......

Well the Mitsubishi WD-57733 Comes with three HDMI ports and none of them work, however the other two are turned off and when I plug in the HDMI while it is connected to the PC (and turned on) the HDTV recognizes that there has been an input and ask's me to specify the type but then it is just blue screen again... so the ports works but... again...

Ok wait a sec....

you have a 57" that doesn't take the input in any plug - though it recognizes it.... and a 22" that does work.... same cable and pc...

Now - troubleshooting this means making some logical conclusions....

If the cable and pc work every time on the 22" - then you can eliminate them from being the problem.

That leaves the 57" device. But where?

You said it detects the input on them - but doesn't display. So the physical plugs are good - the chances of all three crapping out at the same time is small enough we can drop that idea.

So the question is - where is the one point of failure? I don't know alot about tv's - but my guess here is that all three inputs likely use the same processor chip or board for controlling / decoding purposes. IF that is the case - then the chip / control board is likely the problem.

Again - this is speculation - but its the only thing I can see that makes sense given the description.

That is one of my fears.

Thought there is the handshake issue that has seemingly become common place... I have my fingers crossed that, that is the issue.
in turn I have bought a new cable and made some changes to my PC we will see what happens when I get home.

Hate it when things don't work as they should.

On my big-screen television, the component inputs went out and had to resort to buying a new HDMI cord.

Now I wish I had used that all along as the picture is 10x as clear
