Ahhhh...are you noting the graphics in SH3 are getting a bit dated? SH4 graphics are starting to look a bit dated against SH5 when I look at them.... SH5 graphics are excellent.

I agree, its visually stunning. Not quite up to par on the old gameplay, but I'm sure it'll get there.

But then, to be fair, I was still thinking that SH4 was looking good!

Ahhh...however, SH3 out of the box was good but not great. SH5 much the same. Sometimes it takes all day to make an excellent meal. All in do time!

Which would have been better, SH3 2.a or SHIIIB?

If find SHIII still very good in terms of graphics. I would say the answer of your question depends on your temper, whether you need photorealistic graphics, or whether it is not that important for the simulation aspect. I tend to put much more weight on the latter. Otherwise I guess I'd rather pull out "Das Boot" or so.

Pardon me to differ. But I actually see SH4's water graphics (modded) same or even better than SH5 graphics managed to deliver.

I compared the two last night. Both are comparable but I find SH5 has the edge with the clouds and white water around the sub/vessels. Unmodded, I find SH5 better than the unmodded SH4. There are some aspects of SH5 environment I would like to put in SH4
