Default Can my sub NOT "Return to Course"?

Sup peeps,

so basically, i plotted a course out of Kiel on my first own patrol. Then i accidentally pressed the rudder button so my sub now is turning slightly right.

First of all, i CANNOT find a rudder diagram to show the status of my rudders!
And i dont want to stop my boat, delete every way point and re-plot, so I looked for the "return to course" button that was under the Navigation screen/panel in previous SHs. I CANNOT find it!!!!! the manual is useless...
and going to my navigator, I can only tell him "keep up the good work" while he can't even order a return to course!

useless crew, so i ran the sub aground and ended everyone's carrier early...

so anyone know how i can "return to course" w/o re-issueing all my navigation way points? and anyone feel that the navigation tools are so limited? like how do u scroll the map quickly while the plotting tool is currently active so u can plot way points in areas far away from the sub, but still zoomed in. I can only use the damn up/down/left/right buttons, and that is just too slow.
Imaging trying to plot way points to navigate a canal: you want to be zoomed in to plot precisely, but there is no way u can keep ur sub in ur screen to click it to select the plotting tool w/o going back to where ur sub is! and then u have to scroll sloooowly back to where ur last plotted waypoint is. that is just painful...

much help and tips appreciated

I use the Advanced Shift Keys mod, so its 'Return to Course: SHIFT K' for me

As far as proper rudder controls, I use the Old Style SH Controls (familiar 3 dials) mod.

Hooray for modders!

To answer your question, I think the return to course is a double-click in the nav map.

I remember reading it in the small info boxes...but I haven't tried it!

Go to the last waypoint in your plotted course.
Add another waypoint from there.
Your sub will return to its plotted course.

you need Church's keyboard mod:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=163444

then you can return to course

you may also wanto to install Wraith's old style controls:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=163208

for the reason which is beyond my understanding, developers successfully removed any keyboard commands that would allow controlling the sub in any meaningful way..what logic is behind this is pure mystery to me..
