Excellent article. Makes you wonder - shouldn't EA and Ubisoft demand damages from the DRM manufacturers if they fail? It's a pointless product if it doesn't work.

Indeed, a great article, but shouldn't this be merged into the DRM thread?

Here are the points of the article that haven't already been made numerous times in various subsim.com threads:

Yes, very good article and speaks frankly about the whole subject.

The following line is pure and utter sarcasm!!! >>>I guess because they're against it that it makes them too, huh? <<< I in no way feel that way and was joking/poking fun at those that do. Please forgive my poor written articulation.

This article actually motivated me enough to email Mary Beth Henson, corporate media relations manager of UbiSoft to express my displeasure and point her to this article. Not sure if she will even read my email or the article but I just had to try.

Excuse me?!? How on earth did you ever get that impression? Oh, this line:

That was total sarcasm aimed at one or two other recent memebers that have been implying that, thus the wink at the end. As Sailor Steve posted in another thread, sarcasm doesn't always come across as clearly as we would like or think it does.

So relax King111, if you've read any of my other posts on this subject you'd have no doubt about my perspective and realize that I was joking/being sarcastic there. I'll edit my post so others won't make the same mistake.

Sorry, I must be particularly myopic today, but I couldn't see anyone that referred to the article as "awesome" as you quoted - quoted implying it had already been said. You wouldn't be making something up now would you? Also, could you please point out the part of that article that was a "rant" (that was me quoiting your words there - as it was actually said). I didn't see any ranting or even raving. Could you enlighten us to the "rant" in the article please? Thanks!
