I worked my ass off for years so I could retire early. After that I got bored and started small business and keep a few people employed. I don't get super rich, but I do still make money and a nice profit. Now the government is going to take that from me, again.
Whatever happened to the small business being the backbone of America? I've been specifically targeted by new taxes, fees, insurance rate increases, etc. Was looking forward to some of the "special attention" that was going to be paid to small business. I didn't know that meant they were targeting my wallet. From the Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000..._HomeAndGarden Quote:
Stupid little things like having to pay higher unemployment premiums to make payments to people I didn't lay off. The funny thing is the day I got notified of the increase was the same day I was talking to my [unemployed] neighbor. I asked if he found a job yet. He said "I haven't looked, I still have plenty of unemployment left to collect". I had to restrain myself from walking over and kicking his ass. Then, realizing he's not even a man, not even man enough to get off his ass and work, he's not worth it. (Never spoke to him again, never will). This is the new American attitude. The land of entitlements. I'm leaving the US. Seriously, I've had enough, I'm done. I've thought about it before, now I'm going to do it. (I'm really not kidding or just mad, I'm leaving). I'm doing serious research into where in the world I'm going to move. I just know it isn't going to be here [in the US] any more. I'm sure there are countries out there who would want a hard working small business owner who pays all of his taxes and keeps people gainfully employed. |
