2:58 pm So I'm sick with flu and won't be doing anything good in at least 1 week.... so I was thinking what If l try to complete a patrol in TCx1 ![]() Let the adventure begin, realism settings are 100% with GWX 3.0 & SH3 Commander Sub is a Type VIIC from 2nd Flotilla with: 4 Officers 11 Petty officers 28 Sailors I will only TC to match in game time with my local time in case I have to turn off PC or a major trouble. ![]() I'll try to do a sitrep every 2~3 hours in this same thread (that's the reason of creating it in the first place) Current orders are to patrol Grid AN13 Current grid is AN69 ![]()

Remember the following steps:
1) If you shave, do not for the duration of your patrol 2) If you wash, lower the amount of water you use by 9/10s and then do it only twice a week 3) Make sure that your bed is kept warm 4) If you have anyone staying with you, instruct them to periodically wake you during the night by either 1) walking past you loudly 2) yelling ALAAARM at the top of their voice and ringing a bell loudly whilst running around the room or periodically flashing a light in your face and muttering 'Sorry wrong bunk'. 5) If you have any fresh food in the house, eat that within the first week, then exist solely on tinned food. Good hunting kaleun! ![]() |

Also:
Cut your mattress in half and enclose three sides of your bed. Add a roof that prevents you from sitting up (about 10 inches is a good distance) then place it on a platform that is four feet off the floor. When sailing in rough weather smash your forehead or shins with a hammer every two hours. |

2. Make sure the water is salty and cold. 3. The beds must be kept warm by someone with the same bathing conditions as you. The odd louse would be worth including if available. 5. NO SHOPPING! That would be considered cheating. 6. A new condition; make sure that your clothes are kept damp and unwashed for the duration of the patrol as well. |

This is the second time I'm attempting a tcx1 patrol, first one was in 1944 with a type XXI, was heading to Murmansk.....but it was going to take excesive time to just reach russian waters (around 100+ hours) .......so I quit that one :P
edit:At 11 pm I go to periscope depth and head to bed, current grid is AN 68, still no single contact, received 1 message from U-16 @ 9:49 pm claiming he sunk a merchant, will test endurance of batteries for 6~8 hours submerged @ 4 knts

Batteries down to 9% from submerged cruise frin 11 pm to 9 am @ 4 knts, not a single contact in that time, current speed is 9 knots, charging batteries 84 km until I get out of grid AN68, 24 hours until we get to grid AN48

Hmm, I was thinking last night after I logged off that it could be quite difficult when you get to attacking. You can't order your crew to get you into position and then tell them to wake you up when you're nearly there.
So, are you making full course/speed calculations and plotting intercepts - estimating the time you and your target arrive - and setting an alarm, or something like that? |
