Default Suicide Crash Dive!

Hi ladies and gentlemen.

Could you help me out with an issue I'm having? I've taken a VIIC to sea in 1940 and upon arriving in deep water conducted some drills to ensure it was essentially the same as the VIIB I used previously.

I ordered a crash dive to see where the boat would end up. Immediately, the engines go to Forward Emergency, and we're submerged in 25 sec or so. But, whereas the VIIB would level out at 70m deep, the VIIC just keeps on going. I didn't have the guts to let her keep going down, knowing that the text-book maximum depth is 150m. As we past 125m, I ordered to maintain depth and finally stopped going down at 145m.

Does the Chief simply forget we're diving? Is it a bug or what?

Also, I ordered a couple of knuckle turns while being hunted by a convoy escort, while simultaneously going deeper. Again, the engines went to full-pelt (pinging stopped, presumably because the destroyers could hear me) and thirty seconds, a minute pass... there's no turn. I had to order the rest of the manuevouer manually.

Is it a bug, or do I need a new Chief?

Siber.
