Each side, when in the minority, act suddenly surprised and shocked at the lack of bipartisanship.

Well since you appear to be a supporter of the Republican party, it may just be your perception.

It is human nature to remember fondly that which we support and remember more critically that which we don't. (one of the advantages of being an independent is that I can hate both sides equally. LoL)

Bipartisanship or a lack of bipartisanship is difficult to measure and is often a subjective perception.

This is nothing new. I may be a dem but I am well aware of the cowards in the party.

Its to the extent that I MAY end up voting 3rd party in 2010 especially with our resident turncoat democrat. I said MAY because I will only do it if the same type with the republicans can be found which mean pubs who are too scared of what the other side will do to vote for things like a new patriot act.

Or if the dems stand up and discuss hard issues like gays in the military.

There is no such thing as being conservative in that way without riots breaking out.

Seriously you touch welfare and it is riots. People are crazy these days about those checks and no matter who you vote for they will always remain.

And the medical programs touch = riots

And education programs touch = no campaign funding and/or riots

And military which you can touch a little as long as you fund drones and such but you cant cut it 50 percent like some fiscal conservatives want.

So you HAVE to spend but you have to spend better than stimulus. I kinda sorta agree with the stimulus because the recession was looking really bad at that point. but you need to fund technology. Because we have to have business with the "ability" to generate enough profit to pay enough taxes and give the jobs to reduce the welfare before you can be fiscally conservative. Its not some dem or pub thing its called "Poltical Reality"

I am a Recovering Republican also. I was a Republican for the past 30 years of my adult life. But recently, the GoP has moved in areas that do not agree with my idea of being conservative.
