Something that happens all too frequently I am afraid.
Now, going from a single to a twin is not THAT bad...at least it wasn't a big jet... THAT would be something. What was the name of that old (1950's) movie? Where he took on a 4 engine prop job?

Not all that miraculous the guy has 100's of hours in a single, the plane was trimmed and alot of altitude, competent help on the radio.
Great job? no doubt... miracolous ... sure why not. Not sure why Obama is mentioned in the title though.
