Default Sad News

Also, with tears I tell you that my beloved Avatar, Maisie, our GSD, has been lost to cancer. We had her put to sleep last week to save her from suffering. She was only six years old. It was a fast and aggressive lymphoma with no hope of a permanent cure. She shall remain my 'Watchdog', as in my mind she lives on.

Apologies mods if this is not the right place for this; I just wanted to tell you because she is the dog you see when you look at my posts.

Very sad for your loss.

Re the rest, edit your post and take it to PM.

It probably didn't work because it needs to be applied before the first run of SH3....or so I've been told.

Default Loss

Those who never had the joy of a wonderful canine companion will never understand the hurt the loss inflicts. I am very sorry for your loss and can only say that in the future you will recall the smiles and good times; and you will be glad you had a good six years.

Mikhayl, that is useful to know - thank you. Danlisa has given me the clue to that which must not be mentioned, and as I am shortly to upgrade my mobo so I can play the final game in the X-series, (which is a space game like Elite), I will do the unmentionable when I reinstall SH3 again and before I add the latest GWX.

Hans, you have been through difficult times. You love 'em - they go - you miss 'em, two-legs or four-legs. Thanks to you all. I fully expected folks to say 'just a dog' as if
that made it less of a painful event, but in fact most folk seem to recognise that to the heart, loss is loss whether furry or human.

I've had dogs all my life and even worked alongside the working type at times.

They fast become a part of you and your life.

Always remember and take strength from the good times.

I feel with you She-Wolf.

A couple of years ago I had my cat, Ida, put to sleep because of cancer.
She was 12 years, and I held her in my arms as the vet put her down...
As I got home I sat in the car with the empty cage with tears in my eyes.
She was not just a cat for me, she was there every day for 12 years...
