Navy Field: now with subs!

I've received a copy of Navy Field to review, they've added subs and that makes a big difference in the gameplay. Yes, this is still an arcade game. No, it will not replace SH4, but I recommend giving it a try for some fun, fast paced naval action between SH4 patrols. It's kinda cool.

I was after this big fellow all night, he finally let his guard down when my ally attacked with a squadron of planes. Sinking a BB is a big deal, I think they are going to name a blimp hangar after me now

Navy fields okay, I might try and get into it again, last I played it was a lagfest.

Edit: still laggy as a hell, and has a knack for totally ****ing my connection for like a half hour after trying to play.

Glad to see the spirit of the Cavalla is still alive. It must be the hat!:rotfl: I need to give it another try. (NF)

Discovered that NF is a less laggy during off hours so I can only play at like 2 AM ;p

Started out from scratch on the New York server.

Going up German side (went American on Arizona) this time, Went directly from frigates to a Z1. Nice ship.

Also, why the hell does it spam little "FFDShow audio decoder" icons in my taskbar?

I haven't gotten a BO up to the level needed for an O class yet, but I am having fun dropping ashcans from my Atlanta class

What do you have to do to get the subs? do you have to work your way up to them or do you have to have a premium account?

You have to have a bridge operator level 37ish to get a sub.

For germans this is right after your first Cruiser.

Z31 on Newyork server atm. 2-3 more levels and I can get a Z99 Destroyer.

All you have to do is work your way up to them. You don’t need any sort of premium account, just a BO of the requisite level (US Lvl 38, UK Lvl 37, IJN Lvl38, KM Lvl 37) and a crew to support it.

Also I noticed in the review:

As mentioned above, the game is free to play until level 30, after which a fairly modest fee of $7.99 US per month is applied.

Are you sure this is the case? I'm almost completely sure the only monthly fees are optional. You just have to suffer with 40% less xp or something.

yeah Thats what I thought, Personally its a good game but deffinatly not feeworthy.
