Have you tried taking the men out of the slots before you move the gun? I've heard that can help, but don't remember if I've actually ever tried it.
Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the .upc files could offer a suggestion, too. Edit : See the following http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=136620 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...748#post899748 |

It's my understanding from this topic at the Ubisoft forum that you must change while in home port from the Captain's room.
Buddahaid Just read this two posts down in WHY IZ IT? What most likely happened was that after your first patrol, you changed your deck gun from Bow to Stern, or vice-versa. There is a bug in the stock game that eliminates the crew slots when you move a gun after the initial outfitting of the boat. Move the gun back to where it originally was and the crew slots should re-appear. |

I tried Coletrain's method, and either I misunderstood it or I goofed it up. I want a manned stern deck gun, and all I can get out of it is a manned fore deck gun. Since Ubisoft doesn't appear interested in fixing this (I couldn't find any help there), are there any third party mods that address this bug?
