Default sh3 or sh5

I love the gameplay in sh3 (nygm3.6d) ect but the graphics are now getting outdated and I love the graphics (with mods) but the gameplay is not good (even with mods) in sh5, what a dilema

The novelty of good graphics wears off.

The novelty of good game-play never wears off.

Ask any keen sportsmen what they prefer: the clothes, the colour of the ball, the green of the grass (or the elegance of the chess pieces) - or a good opponent?

Stiebler.

If you could take the Campaign from SH3 and put it into SH5, I think that would be a sweet game.

But, since you can't; I'll stick with SH3.

I still play Aces Of The Deep on occasion. Its graphics are now twenty years old, but the gameplay still has factors no sim since has matched. For me SH3 gives the best balance between the two.

SH3GWX3 hands down. Came to the series with 3, went to 4, was disappointed at the bugs and the terrible campaign. With that I went back to 3. 5 came out, and the learning curve was ridiculous, as well as the actual gameplay. 5 is more about talking to the crew to keep them happy, and less about actually putting down tonnage. In the end, I defaulted to 3, and 3 is where I'll stay

Having played both SH5 and SH3 i would just like to give you my 2 cents.

I currently have 69 mods installed in SH5 and it's a great game modded.
Very pretty to look at and plays well on my system.
The modders have done a fantastic job getting SH5 to what it is today.

SH3 well what can i say...... its like a classic car it really is, I have GWX, SH3 Commander, MaGui widescreen and a few other mods. Out of the two SH3 keeps me more immersed it may not be as pretty as SH5 but overall "IMO" is the better game and is the one i go back to time and time again.

You can buy both of them cheap now so why not try both????

I played SH5 first but kept hearing about how good SH3 is. When i first watched videos of SH3 on youtube i was put off because of how much prettier my SH5 is.
I decided to buy SH3 and give it a try......I was so glad i did.
