Bdu Newb ????'s

Hello everybody. I am new to this sim, so new infact that im still waiting for the mailman to give it two me in two days . I have played SH (original) and Aces of the deep (until 4 in the morning most days!) But when I got SHII it was game over (pardon my pun) and I gave up on SH series. When 3 came out I assumed that it was 2 with prettier pictures and walked away from it every time I picked it up.

But thanks to the power of U-tube (Again pun) I saw that I was very mistaken and court marsheled myself on the spot! (I'm hoping to grant myself a stay of execution) Anyway I was hoping that you all Could answer some ????'s.

1. What are the limits besides fuel to your travels? Can you go to murmansk, Afrika, Amerika, Pacific?

2.Ive learned enough to know that GWX2.0 is a must but i cannot find out what is U-boat 2.0 I keep hearing about?

3.Will this thing run decent on an amd 2.8 Ghz, 756 ddr and here's the killer GeForce 2 GTS 64megs?

Thanks in advance und keep your hulls water tight!

If you're playing stock SH3 you can go anywhere in the Atlantic and the Arctic Sea. If you play GWX/NYGM/WAC you can also go to the Indian ocean and Australia. In either case you cannot go to the Pacific (i.e. where the US Submarines were operating)

I have no idea. If you can provide some more information I might be able to understand a bit more about the nature of this "U-Boat 2.0".

I think you need a new graphics card mate. You need a minimum of 128MB to play the game. Although you can always try it and see if the level of frame rate you get with your current configuration is acceptable to you.

I agree with this, try and get at least 128MB, 256MB if you can. You will notice a difference in frame rate, especially when running GWX2.0 with all that harbour traffic.

Good luck, and good hunting!
