GWX 2.0 redundant

Hello everyone,

I'm using a Type IX-D2 in the 12th flotilla. It's been two times in a row that they send me to grid FE19... I've been succesfull on the way in the first trip to FE19 sinkink an ocean liner and two modern tanker from inside Freetown's port (yep I got in, took me 4 hours in and out).

Is it normal that they send me exactly to FE19 right after ?

Thanks for telling me if I'm experiencing a bug.

No it's totally fine. In reality U-Boats used to patrol the same generic areas for many months. If I remember correctly the grids are assigned based on historical information. The actual grid position is random, so you were just unlucky and got the same number.

talking about historical data...

They sent me with my VII to the US coast from Lorient (2nd fleet) and starting playing my second GWX I transferred to the 11th to Bergen and now I hqave a IXc and I am send to the shallow water of grid AM88

Well my own fault... serving in the 2nd means IX-boats... serving in the 11th VII:hmm:

Just as a sidenote

lo mate

i think i remember having a similar problem once.....
when you save and exit the game two save games are created....
something like "in base after patrol " and "in base before patrol"

im sure if you continually load the second one you can get repeated grid patrol areas

if im wrong im sure some helpful kaleun will sort it out

Too little time in base can lead to repeated grids
Other than that you obviously made an impression there last time so were sent back
