Default Big Brother slaps a ticket on you

I don't drive but this is going to upset the drivers here in the UK.

Quote:
Parking fines via CCTV to force drivers to obey

The sight of a parking attendant sticking a ticket on your windscreen makes the heart sink. But from the end of next month even a ticketless car will not mean you have escaped.
Under an overhaul of parking regulations set out by the Government, a new era of “remote enforcement” will become commonplace. From March 31 councils across England will be allowed to use CCTV cameras to detect parking offences.
Drivers will not know that they have been caught until a letter arrives up to 14 days later, by which time they may be unable to gather evidence to defend themselves.

More revenue raising by the Government hits the motorist.

Once again, the country puts in some new bull**** remote system to justify no police on the streets.

If you read the article its a bit of a mixed bag.

Quote:
Cameras can be used only in areas where it is too “difficult or sensitive” for an attendant to operate such as a fast-flowing road or a busy junction, according to the new regulations.
In some ways its going to make thing easier for the motorist lesser offences will be charged at a lower rate.

Quote:
Lesser offences, such as briefly overstaying a ticket, will incur a fine of £80 in London (£50 outside). More serious offences will incur a £120 fine (£80)

Astronomical fuel prices, automated parking tickets, congested roads.....it's almost enough to make me think of flogging the car.

The motorist has always been the easiest target in the UK.

It's about time all murderers, paedos and rapists were issued with Mobility

Allowance.....That way we might have more success apprehending them

Only if the car consents to the flogging first, you know!

Yes, thank you for the play on words. In the UK, to flog something also means to sell it as well as beat the living sh1t out of it! I don't know where the saying came from, but we are stuck with it for you to take the rise out of!

Ps. Cool vid featuring Fawltey Towers and Motorhead Mrbeast
