Weapons management screen – flying torpedoes bug. Help!

Ahoy!

I'm hunted by this bug since version 1.0 of GWX expansion. I don't know how to reproduce this bug, but sometimes when I enter weapons management screen and grab torpedo with mouse pointer and drag it ie. from reserves to torpedo tube to load it, the torpedo does not load and it is possible to
drag it all over the screen. It looks like this:

If the game is reloaded it still looks the way it was before. It all messed up . Restarting game and reloading saved game also has no effect. I also tried full reinstallation of SH but to no results. Disabling plugins in JSGME also doesn't help. Only way to fix it, is to reload game before this bug is triggered. That is the whole problem... sometimes it thousands of miles back. I just sunk four fat large tankers in one attack run.... now when I reload the game before that damn bug accured... You know what I mean . I could be some graphic card related bug but I have no idea what could it be (well I use RivaTuner). Reinstallation of graphic drivers didn't help. S.O.S sailors this ruins my SH tonnage!

Your image-quality is very low....maybe your video-card is to weak?
Especially regarding video-memory, it seems.

But 1st thing to check, is whether your PC-interior gets enough fresh air, and see if fans and heatsinks aren't covered in dust.

Image quality very low? Can You be more specific.... I have no idea what do You mean. I used to play this game with Radeon 9550 on board and there was no problem. Currently I have passively cooled 7600GT + external fan blowing on it. There is absolutely no problem with overheating of any component of my computer... im not new to this stuff

The next step is to check you have the latest Nvidea drivers:

Look at the dials in down-right corner...they look blocky, with no anti-aliasing applied. That's why I concluded that your GPU isn't a speed-monster

But maybe it's still fast enough, if only you can prevent it from getting to hot...which is the case here, I suspect.
Instead of having a fan blowing on the card, try having a fan sucking hot air out of your PC-case.

And if this - or other video-drivers - doesn't work, then I don't have a clue how to fix this, sorry.

Sometimes i have the same bug, and i dont think its the graphics card (I have a GT8600 with 512mb with the latest drivers). but this appears, after i moved some torps, then i go back to the map, go some time ingame and then i can move the torps without probs....very strange...

I found the latest Nvidea drivers were not that great and went back to my old drivers. FPS rate just fell right off.

Sounds like a cooking video card type thing or a lack of memory somewhere ?

Are u moving stuff with time compression cranked up?

Personally i would dump the rivatuner and go see this guy for my video drivers, After a long absence the king of moddled drivers is supporting NVidia again.

Default i hate this glitch

this glitch is gay!!!!!!!!!

i hate it!

i have it too but in a slightly differnt way!

sometimes the torpedos disapear in it too!!!

the thing to stop it is to never take more than 2 torpedos at one time from the external reserves

once those two torpedoes are in the additional rserves then load 2 more@!!!!!!!!!!!

This bug was in stock too, usually on XID2 boat. I think no matter what graphic cards or drivers we have would solve this. This kind of bug usually happens when moving some certain torpedos from external to internal. With XID2 having more torpedos than IXC, game desginers failed to expand torpedo screen through coding, and I am assuming they thought IXC's torpedo screen would work on XID2's, probably they were rushed or lazy to correct it before the game was released. It been long time since I had a XID2, I remember myself gave up with it cuz of two major bugs; the torpedo screen and the stern of the boat got stuck to dock because the boat being too long or the game desginers failed to adjust the boat's starting point further away from dock.
