Default GWX 2.0 mods ...

I was wonderin' ...

What mods work well with this new version ... I know the ones that came with the new version but what about any of the older mods ... which ones DO work well and which ones WON'T ?

Thanks for the help gents ...

Good question, matey! Personally, i think it's to early to tell.. I'll bet there will be some "trial & error" before we know what will work or not. I think the GWX-team have some more knowledge of this, and will probably sort this out. Many mods will also be made compatible with GWX 2.0 after a while, by the modders themself. (IMHO, i dont think i'll need any other mods right now...GWX 2.0 covers it all..)

GWX is pretty complete!

Most of the problems I have seen posted come from people with lots of mods attached (something to think about). I personally had all the GWX mods installed , no other mods and never had any problems with the game

I can verify that SHIII Commander works well with GWX 2.0 (as long as you drop in the GWX cfg file), and also the Torpedo Damage Final mod (This mod is SUCH a must have !!! Kudos to who put that mod together !!!! It's my favorite mod !) works fantastic with it.
Thanks to that mod.. these guys REALLY look like they've sprunk a leak !

I'm hoping this one might work, 'Avg.Joe's Torpedo and Deckgun Speed of Sound Explosions delay'
I think it is just sound files so I it should be allright. Anyone else tried it.

Search for OceanBlue I think was his user name.
It's a very good damage image for ships.
However, since subs use the same damage textures, and the way the
textures wrap at times, it has it's short comeings also.
But it's personnal taste.
Personnally?
I give it
Like it! I don't use it.

You are most welcome Sir!

The search function here is pretty good IF you phrase things right.
Now that statement probably put a target on my back but,
I have a pretty good memory,
and I spent months and months,
doing nothing but studying past posts!
Anything you want to know IS in them!!!
You just have to dig and not be lazy!!!
Nothing is easy unless you read EVERYTHING posted by ref, Anvart, Sergbuto,
Cmdr Gibbs, etc, etc!!!!
Those guys blazed the trail!!!

Why Ubisoft didn't make their ship damage look like it does in Torpedo Damage Final mod is beyond me. Prior to that mod, ships just looked like they got a little charcoaled when hit. As you see in the picture above, now we have effects like that where it looks like I pretty much blew the ship's bow off !

I saw my first flying british sailors just now too. I got pretty close, hit a pyro ship with my deck gun. There was a massive explosion and sailors went flying through the air from below the deck. (There was no one standing ON the deck when I attacked). It was horrifying and comical at the same time ! I wonder if it would be possible to catch one on the deck when he goes flying ?:hmm:

That would be the ultimate in skill there.
