HELP!! I'm related to Bernard!!

One evening I'm browsing the funny pictures on the sticky post, and laughing at Bernard's expense. My wife walks in and looks at the pictures, and chuckles (I don't know if she was laughing at me or the picture), but then stops.

"Who's Bernard," she asks.

"Oh, just some guy they made up to blame all the weird stuff that goes on in the game," I answer.

"My dad's name is Bernard," she deadpans.

Suddenly I remember that. Then I remember that he speaks fluent German........
