Hey guys, in case anyone is interested in doing some reading, here is a really good resource on the web talking about anti-sub tactics used by the US during WWII. Might help those that are wondering why things happen in SH3 the way they do. Here's the link:

In the same vein, you can can also learn a great deal from the after-action reports by various Allied surface ships and aircraft about successful attacks against U-boats, here: http://www.uboatarchive.net/Uboatlist.htm.
