Wierd Sound Echo Problem

I don't know what changed, but now I get a wierd echoing sound inside the control room from my crewmember's voices and when I use the deck and flak guns. I'm using a SoundBlaster X-Fi, and I've not changed anything on it lately. Anyone else here experience such a problem?

Scratch that. I did a complete reinstall of my sound drivers, and the problem went away.

Very wierd, nonetheless...

Welcome to the "Twilight Zone" of computing. Where anything and everything can (and usually will) go wrong for no reason whatsoever and the only way to fix it is to reinstall something and/or everything and wait for the next failure.
