Default November 1940 First Convoy!!

I was on my way back to Brest after a successful patrol in BF areas off the coast of Southern England. It was 0500 hours when the officer of the watch called in two ships. Looking at the map I saw the big square and though "CONVOY!"

But zooming in it was just the 2 ships. A DD and a T3.

Ahead full called and made for the T3, only for ever few minutes, more ships called in.

I was a bit grr only 1 Torp in Tube 1, and one been loaded from outside. So yeah, had tv on so was watching tv, went back to SH3 to find we were gettign quite close. Kept calling it in to BDU.

Then, I when onto the Bridge and yeah...Spot light!

"SHIZER!"

Rounds start falling all around the boat, shell tearing up the water, I think even the Clemson class was opening up from the rear of the convoy. So I fired one torp at the T3 and went to dive. Damage across all compartments, forty somthing Hull Integ. Sinking, Sinking.... reports of flooding yet no timer on damage control. A few minutes later career ended. Damage control should be lined up and shot.

Somthing like 223736 Tons. Allot of tankers and big transpoarts about on their own.

But it was such a massive convoy! HUGE! So weakly defended too.

But Sherman Fireflys, in 1940? On the way from Africa?

If the convoy was soo weakily defended, why did u sink? no offense but you should have taken out the DD first, Its November 1940, Ambush and sink Escorts, its real easy. Attack escorts and DD at their Flanks, lead them then fire the torpedo.
As to the sherman thing, its just a graphic, You see tanks and planes on neutral ships all the time, but you cant sink them.

I dunno why I sank. As I said, I came onto the Bridge, a spot light came on and we got hit by the main batteries. Began to dive but they blasted us to bits. Not much you can do when two escorts have you by the balls at less then one click. Damage control didnt do anything, said we had flooding but could see it on damage control, mighta glitched. We just kept sinking.

Reloaded the game and fired the single torp at 2.6K at the DD and then dived and sat it out. Crew couldnt bring in the other in time. We were very close to the Mainland of Cornwall. The torp just missed. But I was no way surfacing, it was getting day light and we were silly close to the convoy. The escorts started circling in somea reas then going back to the convoy, they knew I was out there.

Yeah I know its a graphic but they coulda done somthing about it.

Meh, I really shud of hit the transport with the tanks, wudda been doing the Royal Tank Regiment a Favour :p

If you are running silent, your damage control guys can't do a thing.

I wouldn't have them lined up to be shot just yet.

Surface artillery is pretty deadly on U-boats. All it takes is one direct hit and you've had the green winnie.
