Default My Kaluen got waxed...RIP

I managed to sink a Large Cargo and a Large Merchant from a southbound convoy, this after knocking off the Hood 7 days ago(gametime). Alas, they got me in the end. After taking out the Large Merchant with my last torpedo, my gameplan is to go under, wait out the depthcharge attack and go home with 90,000 tons sunk for the patrol. I wait out the attack, no damage, no problems. An hour later, I surface and head southeast. 30 minutes later, my lookouts spot a destroyer, C&D, at 8000 meters. He's coming straight for us at 30 knots. He is not with the convoy, he must be coastal defense - the swein! I dive to the bottom, go to 2 knots, silent running. He drops bombs somewhere in the vicinity but no where near. 1.5 hours later, I hear no surface contacts, either through hydrophone operator or through the phones myself. I surface. The minute I come up a Swordfish comes out of nowhere, drops a bomb directly amidships! WHAT??? My repair crew does a bang up job stopping the flooding. The Swordfish comes around for another pass. He's out of bombs, but the pig still has his machine guns. Bullets rattle off the hull. Amazingly no one on deck has died from this. Another round of flooding begins. However, it gets put out. The lookouts spot a ship. I decide to dive to 30 meters go to 2 knots and stop the leaks. At 25 meters I die from hull breaking under pressure. So, there you go. Thats 7 captains dead under my sterling command! However, I do make it a little further into the war then last time. Here's hoping the 8th time is the charm. I will learn from these painfull lessons, survive the war was the German tonnage leader, be hired by NATO and do interviews on History Channel documentaries in the twilight of my life. Carry on.

Mensch! Sorry to hear about your boat(s)! I'm starting to think the key to surviving the war is to get promoted to a training or admin position!

When I saw the title of this thread about "waxed" I had images there of some poor U-boat man getting, his back crack and sack sorted.:rotfl:

Yes but Mohr, you are playing the nautical version of Doom there! Try being a surface raider with a regular loadout.

I was going to go with a "My wife just got her kaleun waxed" joke, but I see we have that kind of thing covered.

Jolly good, carry on.
