Moonset to die for

Well, Mates, I can't believe it. I've never seen a BB in Vanilla.
I saw one BB from afar in 5 months of GWX
In this new GWX 1.03 career:
3rd patrol in a row get to bag a battlewagon. (Feb 1940)

Nice moonset, don't you think?
Now if that blinking destroyer will leave me alone everything will be peachy

Sorry, it is a moonrise (death at dawn, hehe).
And the DD didn't really bothered me--couldn't find me. May have descovered a new evasion techinque.

Herr Frosch (Mr. Frog) The battleship frogger--I think the froggie brings me luck

No--we're not engaging a BB with the deckie

To answer your questions:
Tonnage credited in log: 30,000, Revenge class BB. It was in the middle of a large WSW bound convoy. Intercepted it 600 miles west of Vigo.

Fired a salvo of 4 torpedoes with a gyro angle of 10 degrees and 1.5 degree spread from a range of 750 meters and AOB of 095.

For some reason this sure-shot salvo hit toward the rear of the ship 3 hits, 4th torpedo missed (I believe it went past the stern.)

The Revenge came to a halt and sank within 10 minutes

To escape, I went to 6kts, rudder 0 until reaching 60 meters, then ordered 1 knot and a 20 degree change in heading to starboard.

This maneuver brought me down to 82 meters when boat reached 1 kt.

One escort showed up. It messed about for an hour never getting closer than 3-400 meters. It didn't drop any DCs.

Presently, moved ahead of convoy but lost sound contact. Plan to attack after dark. This formation is rich with high value targets.

I love it when the water is like glass in your photo.
Good luck on your next intercept.

Could you upload the original pic in its full size? I like my desktops to be in their full glory.
