Default Harbour road trip

To prove the value of the type II club, I'm setting off on my final pre-GWX patrol.. and going to visit as many British harbours as possible. Screenshots as proof will be provided.

How many do you think I'll tot up? Place your bets now! :rotfl:

looking forward to seeing your work.

make sure you get plenty of shots of your home port. I dont recall stock SH3 too well but IIRC you will likely pull into the enemy ports either unchallenged or facing a lone corvette or destroyer.

also get a shot of the Great Island Nation and france in the map view to show how many more ports there are in GWX vs. stock

get a shot of the stock map and the GWX map and compare them side by side.

unfortunately you cant screen shot the great work these guys did on sounds.

i cant really remember stock SH3 all that well, after playing the old SH series and 688i for so long i was BLOWN AWAY with SH3 stock when it first came out... but after playing GWX for so long im glad i dont remember what SH3 stock is like... maybe i will load it up on my wife's computer to take a look at the two side by side... :hmm:

Heh... Funny you should mention the sounds in GWX. First post-GWX patrol I was like "what's with all that shouting" after I scored a torpedo hit.

Awesome stuff.

I think playing GWX with a type II boat and seeing how many ports you can infiltrate would be much more of a challenge.
When visiting ports in stock the biggest threat you face is the tumbleweed rolling across the surface of the water and getting tangled with your scope

Crazy Ian,

Are you going in a IIA or a IID? In a IIA you might run out of diesel by the time you get to Hull .

I never liked shallow water in any of the SH versions. Curious to see how your challenge goes
