I played SH4 with TMO mods really hardcore for a few years 2009-2010 so recently got back into it to try operation Monsoon mega mod. Its awesome but I forgot how time compression works.
I am sitting at 45 meters on bottom engines shut down trying to conserve battery and have a ton of stuff to try and repair. does time compression switch off? I set up my repairs etc but still stuck in 1:1 compression...is it the mod or base game? forgot ..sorry |

In your Windows/Documents folder you'll find and SH4 folder that contains all your saved games etc. Inside that folder you'll find another labelled Cfg, and inside that is a file marked Main. That file includes this section:
[TIME COMPRESSION] TimeStop=0 RealTime=1 LandProximity=128 CriticalDamage=1 CrewEfficiency=128;1 AirEnemyDetected=1 SoundEffects=2 CharacterAnim=4 EnemyDetected=1 RadioReport=1 Particles=8 PrayState=32 HunterState=32 3DRender=32 Maximum=8192 As you can see I have my 'LandProximity' set to 128. You can set that for anything you like. I find it especially useful when navigating the Kiel Canal in OM.
