Yes, the options are now separated. You can have transparent water without the environmental effects.

But, there seems to be problem. The transparent water effekt has no effect on my FPS when I am on the free camera. But when I change to the bridge view, it kills the FPS like if I had the environmental effects on.

Strange

Oh, oh see if you can smooth it out somehow and let us know if you can and what you did! Thanks

The crew are still transparent on deck with Environmental Effects enabled!

you can select fog and environmental effects separately. On both options you'll have the see-through water. For me the best thing is to exclude the environmental effects. The fog doesn't hit my FPS very much (GeForce 7800 GTX).

Haven't seen the monolith yet. I think it will soon be just a dark memory ...

It's a real shame the fog has such a hit on some systems as it's a really nice feature in itself. Trying to sneak up on a contact when you can't see a hand in front of your face is really quite tense.

Another 30 minutes and I'm outta here, thing is I really should do some work in the garden when I get home. Any bets on which will win, the garden or SH4 1.2?
