Hi all,
I am new to this amazing sim, I have installed and patched it just yesterday, and actually never started a mission yet, but I have been reading forums and other info for about a week (waiting the game to be delivered...). I think I'll install the GWX mod even before trying plain SHIII. I think I am going to try the sim with higher difficulty setting (after I have done some practice with lower difficulty of course). I am really amazed about the very high quality stuff I found in this forum, especially some recent posts about manual plotting and manual navigation. I think I'll try to stick to these techniques that seem to be very immersive. I have tried manual navigation with Flight Simulator (no map, dead reckoning, simulated sextant readings, very limited or no radio aids, etc) and that is quite fun, so at lease I know some basic things about navigation. I would be delighted, as a beginner, to get some advices about achieving as much realism as possible in this sim. Thanks to all Cheers Maraz |
