Anyway to fix/remove broken ships in harbor?

My game (with GWX) goes from ultr-real to ridiculously silly everytime I go to the harbor. Kiel is now a joke. Half a ship lies at the entrance with the other half floating a mile away. There are beached merchant ships rusting all around the coast. Once into Kiel itself practically all the warships are sunk except for the Graf Zeppelin...yes I know it's my fault for having saved too close to harbor. I just want to know if there is a fix or does it cure itself after a while?

The fix for sinking ships is under test now
It has been posted and so has the problem more than once

Saving near port wont cure your ships all over the place - stock problem
The fix is to cure the sinking ships issue only

Now if you know saving too close to a port will cause a problem why do it ?

Einbaum, I seriously think you're overreacting to these posts. I think that if you take some time to read through them you'll see that we all partake in a bit of friendly teasing, and I'm not quite sure threatening to smack someone around is the best way to ingratiate yourself with the rest of the subsim community. You may want to reevaluate your approach before a moderator takes things into his own hands and does some real smacking...

No use threatening me cos I think this is a forum of weirdos and social freaks who spend way too much time imagining they are some sort of world war 2 sub skipper. The real joke is...you people. All I ask is some advice to play the game, my social life doesn't revolve around this game or this forum full of weirdos. You all sound like some demented, snivelling, 40 year old virgins.

I post in a football forum, that's my main forum, not here and I posted a link here and they think you're all a bunch of tossers who need to get out more. What's with the Bernard joke every 10 seconds? It's like being transported back to school with these retarded, immature jokes.

I'll ignore your rude comments, random CTDs are a known problem in the game, for example I got them when zooming out too far in map view and scrolling with the mouse under high compression in particular. If you could give some more detail about how this happens it could help.

It might be better to wait til you are out of sight of the harbour before saving, I always save at several points in my patrol and use a fake save when I quit (to go and and meet friends including females

) using "save and exit" call it delete (thanks to Avon Lady for that trick).
