BBs sunk on consecutive patrols

Whoa what a streak.

Sub: IXB out of Wilhelmshaven
Time: Spring '40

2nd patrol: Intercepted a convoy and sneaked in, fired forw. tubes on 4 merchants, swung periscope around to see what's there for my aft tubes and what do I see just 400m away? A Revenge class BB! I sent the 2 aft torps into it and dove deep to evade the DDs. Both hit but the BB carried on though listing somewhat. So hours later I did the end around and positioned again in front of the convoy, wanting to finish off that BB. And so I did with a salvo of 4.

3rd patrol: uneventful until I was W of Scotland when I got a contact report of a task force running straight to my position. So all I had to do was wait for them. Turned out to be both Nelson BBs and some Didos. I fired a spread of 4 from 2500m at the Rodney, 3 hits under the turrets. It was heavily listing to the bow with almost no speed left. I waited for the rest of the TF to disappear and fired another spread of 2 to finish it off.

What a ride, I never see much warship action as I'm more the merchant sinker guy but this was truly exciting.

I have some pics, will upload them later if I find time (there are still some BBs left you know )
