Default Torpedo Reloads

Hey guys,

Fired of all of the torpedos in the tubes that you start of with, but they aren't reloading. I have men in the torpedo rooms, and have checked "Auto reload" in Weapons management. It just has a never ending torpedo with the red light next to it.

Also, I know the reloads take a long time. Is there a timer somewhere ,like with repair work?

I know this crowd is a really friendly bunch, so I thank you all in advance ,

Hehe, people commonly have this issue when they first start playing SH3 so don't worry about it.

Are you in silent running? When in silent running your crew will not reload torpedoes or make repairs.

Secure from silent running and your men should go to work provided you have enough people in the appropriate area.

Good luck and good hunting!

I am secured from Silent Running
My men are always fatigued though, despite constantly sending them into rest, and I am surfaced and its relativly calm.

Could you possibly make any sense of that?

I had a similiar problem in my Type II a while back where my bow torpedo room was completely filled but no-one was reloading. I had to edit a line or two in a CFG file to change the minimum people or something like that to get them to load the torpedos. This, again, was a while back so I don't remember the steps but I hope someone else does.

Okay, got it sorted. I just stopped the whole boat, and put everyone I could into their bunks. Waited about a day till they eventually got over their laziness, then piled them all into the torpedo rooms, and an officer too. That got them going. Lazy sods....

Why don't you just get rid of the crew fatigue, if it bothers you ?

If you click the I key, it will show what progress your torpedo loading crew is making and the status of your torpedos. On the upper right hand corner there is a button that will show you how much DG and flack ammo you have left

I know it's been said but the crew modeling system in this game was never too well thought out. They feel more like a bunch of rechargable batteries you have to move from slot to slot as they need replacing. It's the job of the diesels run up the regular batteries. Wish it was possible to jumpstart the crew with a few spare volts sometimes. Wonder if they sell cattleprods in the botiques of Lorient? :hmm:
