Nice pics there
![]() My boat is still in the construction phase, although it's nearly finished I have some final jobs to do. Unfortunately I have been very busy at work and my time has become limited - I even have very little time for SH3 ![]() |

Nice pics silverGhost
![]() @subwolf, you can get the kits at most online hobby stores--I ordered theVIIC "wolpack" through squadron.com for $72.usd--then actually found it in a local hobby store for $55.usd ![]() @Goose_green, I looked through your thread at ubi---great job-especially giving progress updates---helps us new builders better than instuction pages ![]()

The picture shows the REVELL model kit. Check their website. A 1/72 scale Gato has just been released, too. It´s 1,30m long!
I´m looking forward to building it in my Christmas holidays! ![]() Cheers, AS

You have to remember the scale of the model is 1/72...meaning, 1" on the model is 6' on the real deal.
For you modellers out there...weathering is a very subtle thing on a model. Get too heavy-handed with it and you've blown the scale effect. You can't see a paint chip in 1/72nd scale...and rust and fading paint has to be kept in context with what your eye "sees". The pics really don't do it justice...it turned out very well. |
