Default Ships filled with cork, beachballs, & rubber ducks

Nope, not another "cursed unsinkable C2s!" thread. I'm talking about ships that seem to defy gaping torpedo holes and perhaps physics. For example: I snuck into a large convoy and managed to disable one C2 and hit a second twice in the stern. Here's the second, a few minutes after the attack. At this point, she was still making 4-5kts:

The C2 continued on like this, making 4kts, for six and a half hours. Fortunately the rest of the convoy was doing seven, and eventually moved far enough away that I could pull into position and attack the straggler. Here she is right before I sank her, still chugging along:

I imagine she would have crossed the entire Atlantic like this, had I not intervened. Must of had a pretty tough simulated crew.

It must be really hard for the boiler room fires to generate the
steam needed to keep the engines going when underwater.....

The new Large Cargo ship in RUB/Ops does nearly the same thing for me. The first three of them I ran into took three fish each and just kept on going and going and going. Sort of like the Energizer Bunny. Finally I found that it takes four to put them down, or so I thought until last night. I nailed one with my last eel and it went down like a rock.
Go figure.

I to encountered an unsinkable C2 today , stayed put for 24 hours and the damn thing still didn't go down even when the stern was underwater.

I've had the same problem with warships. During an attack on a convoy, I was targetting several ships. Lauched the topedoes, dived deep, and listened out for the explosions. One torpedo ran way over its time...then hit something.

Anyway, I tracked the convoy, did another attack, then carried on for home along the convoy's reciprocal. Suddenly I'm being fired at! OMG...its half a Flower-class coming at me! Only her forward 2/3 was visible and she was making a few knots, but even with her bow angled upwards she was still able to depress her main gun and aim at me

She had obviously got in the way of the torpedo that missed it's intended target, and ended up trailing the convoy.

the british filled some ships with empty oil barrels q-ships...

but not every c-2 do the same...some ships go down or broke in two with a single torpedo

is the same with the stock game or only is with the RUB ??

She is made of iron, sir. I assure you, she can. and she will. It is a mathematical certainty.
